Olivia has been talking more “babble” lately.  There are definitely more sounds added to her vocabulary.  She continues to say “eeeehhhhh” in a high pitch, drawn out kind of way…almost like screaming, but not so loud.  It’s so cute to see her tongue move all over inside her mouth when she does that.  These are a few play pictures taken recently.  Lcui is taking Olivia’s grabbing/biting quite well. 

Justin and I went on our first date leaving a non-family member babysitter in charge of Olivia for the first time!  We dropped her off down the street at one of our Life Group (our bi-weekly church group that meets at our house) member’s house at 5pm.  When we called after dinner to see how things were, Kelly said “It’s boring!”  Olivia had been asleep ever since we dropped her off.  She finally woke up at 7:50, just in time for her kids to go to bed at 8.  They were bummed.  But Kelly said Olivia was perfect and ate 2oz out of her bottle.  This is amazing because she hasn’t taken a bottle in a month or two.  I was so glad to hear that she didn’t cry the whole time like she does in the nursery.  We haven’t made it through an entire service yet. 

It’s official!  As of Monday, Olivia can offically say “mmmmuuuuummmm, mmoomm, mum, mum” repeatedly on purpose!

I’ve also started an online praxis (college education exit test) grading job.  It made my eyes buggy and neck stiff, but Justin did a GREAT job taking care of Olivia for the 4 hour shift!  It’s a week week long thing each time the test is given.  There are approximately 7 scoring sessions a year, so it’s not going to be too strenuous! 

So we had a pretty low key Thanksgiving.  Since Olivia’s dedication (present pictures) was the weekend before, we had a bigger Thanksgiving meal with the families then.  Thank you Aunt Debbie and Uncle Dave for hosting!  However, I did fix a turkey for me and Justin on Thanksgiving Day (see pic).  Olivia slept through the meal.  Justin ran in the 5K Turkey Trot at 7:30AM in 30 degree weather (see pic).  We decorated for Christmas (see pic) and got some shopping done.  I hope to be finished in the next week or so (that would be a first!).  Olivia also had a big milestone this past weekend.  She is now able to sit up by herself!!! (see pics)  The first time didn’t go over too well….she was a little tired.  We’re still working on the rolling over…  The last picture is Olivia and Carson (her 3mo old cousin) hanging out waiting for everyone to get ready for church. They were the last to finish.

Olivia and I got to travel to Ohio together a few weeks ago and stayed at Aunt Tara and Uncle Will’s house.  (We missed Uncle Will because he is in Kuwait until January)  The 9 hour drive took only 12 hours for us (but she did amazing)!  And we found out how nice some hotel lobbies can be for feeding/wiggle time.  We had a fun time seeing family!

I’ll try my hand at this and see what I get!  Olivia had her 6 month birthday Sunday.  We celebrated by getting her an exersaucer….plus Katie said it would “change my world”.   She was big-eyed as soon as she got in it.  She loves it!
